The Karnataka Badminton Association (KBA) proudly hosted the inauguration of the India International Challenge 2026 in Bengaluru on 27 October 2026. The tournament was inaugurated by Shri D. K. Shivakumar, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, who extended his best wishes to all participating players.
As part of the occasion, floral tributes were paid to the portrait of late Shri S. Bangarappa, former Chief Minister of Karnataka. Remembered for his contributions to public life, Shri Bangarappa was also an accomplished badminton player who inspired generations of sportspersons.
The event was graced by Shri Kumar Bangarappa, former Minister and President of the Karnataka Badminton Association, along with renowned Indian athlete M. R. Poovamma and several other distinguished guests.
KBA extends its sincere gratitude to all dignitaries, players, officials, sponsors, and supporters for their presence and continued encouragement in making the India International Challenge 2026 a celebration of badminton and sporting excellence.
